Fungicida altament eficaç contra fongs oomicetos que produeixen malalties foliars (míldius). Després de l'aplicació, l'ingredient actiu es fixa en la capa cerosa i des d'allà es redistribueix a l'interior de la planta, presentant activitat translaminar. Una pluja posterior a l'assecat del dipòsit de les aplicacions sobre les fulles no renta el producte, de manera que no serà necessari repetir l'aplicació. Altament actiu sobre la germinació de les espores del fong, i inhibeix també el creixement del miceli durant la fase d'incubació de la malaltia.
