Kay és un Insecticida - acaricida polivalent que actua per contaco i ingestió, amb gran efecte de xoc i efecte repel·lent prolongat. No és tòxic per a les abelles. La seva acció és deguda a un bloqueig del sistema nerviós central i perifèric dels insectes. KAY conserva, íntegrament la seva efectivitat insecticida al camp, fins i tot sota temperatures extremadament altes, durant un apreciabe període de temps.
